About MicroMax

Engineering-led contracting, run out of Doha

MicroMax Trading & Contracting is a progressive MEP and facility maintenance company based in the heart of Doha. Our team is made up of trained, experienced engineers and technicians with a genuine appetite for the technical side of the work.

We work on all types of MEP and facility maintenance projects — new installation, replacement, upgrade and ongoing servicing. Over 15 years and more than 200 projects, the pattern has stayed the same: buildings do not usually fail because one system was badly installed. They fail where two trades meet and neither owns the boundary. Holding the full MEP scope removes that gap.

How we work

From first message to maintenance contract

A sequence, not a sales funnel. Each stage produces something you can hold us to — a survey report, a priced scope, a test record, a handover file.

Enquiry & scope

Send drawings, a BOQ, a snag list, or simply describe the problem on WhatsApp. Nothing formal needed to start.

Site survey

An engineer attends site to verify existing systems, access constraints and working hours before anything is priced.

Proposal & BOQ

A written scope with materials, programme, exclusions and price. What is not included is stated, not implied.

Mobilisation

Manpower, materials, permits and building access are coordinated so the first day on site is a working day.

Execution & testing

Installation, testing and commissioning carried out with records kept as the work progresses.

Handover & AMC

As-builts and O&M documentation issued, with an optional annual maintenance contract to keep the asset in warranty condition.

Sectors

Buildings we know how to work in

Occupied clinics, live retail, running factories, schools between terms. Each has its own access rules, noise limits and shutdown windows — and the programme is built around them, not the other way round.

FAQ

Questions we get asked before signing

Straight answers on coverage, quoting, approvals and response times.

Which areas of Qatar do you cover?

We are based in Al Muntazah, Zone 24, Doha, and take on work across Qatar. Travel outside Doha is confirmed at quotation stage so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Do you take on maintenance contracts as well as one-off jobs?

Both. A one-off call-out for a specific fault is fine, and so is an annual maintenance contract covering scheduled visits across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire systems. Many clients start with a repair and move to a contract once they have seen the work.

Can you work in an occupied building?

Yes. Offices, clinics, hotels and retail units are rarely able to shut down, so works are phased and scheduled around trading hours or carried out overnight where the building permits it. Tell us the constraint at enquiry stage and it will be built into the programme.

What do you need in order to quote?

For installation works: drawings, a BOQ or a clear scope description. For maintenance: an equipment list, or a site visit if no list exists. For a repair: a photograph of the unit's nameplate and a description of the fault is usually enough to give an initial indication.

Who handles authority approvals?

In Qatar, fire detection and firefighting systems fall under the Civil Defence Department (QCDD), and power and water connections under Kahramaa. Confirm at enquiry stage who is holding responsibility for approvals and submissions, so it is written into the scope and priced correctly rather than assumed.

How quickly can you attend a breakdown?

Attendance times for contract clients are agreed in writing within the maintenance contract. For one-off breakdowns, message the location and a description of the fault on WhatsApp and we will confirm the earliest available slot.

Do you supply materials, or can we supply our own?

Either. We can supply and install as a single package, or install and commission equipment that you have already procured. Where you supply the equipment, warranty responsibility for the goods stays with your supplier and ours covers the installation.
